 Why buy an Oak Framed Garden Gazebo?

There are numerous gazebos on the market now, the majority of which are made from treated softwood.

Although they superficially look the same as oak they are worlds apart.

Oak is a hardwood and as such is more resistant to weathering and rot.

In order to get a long useful life out of a softwood gazebo, you have to treat the wood with a preservative on a regular basis costing both time and money.

With oak products in most cases you can leave them to naturally age.

As oak ages it turns into a lovely silver colour, and in the process the wood becomes harder than it was when the gazebo was first manufactured.

Our gazebos are made exclusively in the United Kingdom from seasoned green oak.

Here at Tischler we prefer to use use oak in our products wherever possible.

This is because it lasts considerably longer, than softwood and does not require chemicals to preserve it. This makes it more environmentally friendly.
